Thank you.

Recently, some members have reported seeing individuals in cars or standing outside our functions who appear to be taking pictures or otherwise monitoring our attendees.

If you notice such people and only if it's easily obtainable, unobtrusively take the license/tag number down and take a picture of the person and/or vehicle and give it to the Shomer inside the building or email it to the gabbai (Burris).

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPROACH OR INTERACT WITH THESE PEOPLE - THEY COULD BE ARMED AND DANGEROUS!

LET THE CHAYALIM AND THE POLICE HANDLE THESE SITUATIONS.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE SHIELD STREET REPAVING PROJECT

The Town of West Hartford plans to repave Shield Street starting on Friday, July 13th and finishing on Sunday, July 22nd (Weather permitting).

The work will be performed by two contractors hired by the Town to mill away some of the paved surface and then repave the roadway. Prior to the start of the pavement milling, Public Works will replace catch basins (drains) as needed. The pavement milling and paving work is planned at night 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to limit the disruption to businesses. The Town will post a detour to keep through traffic off Shield Street during construction.

During the construction, access to Shield Street will be allowed to local traffic only (residents, property owners, emergency vehicles, etc.). Shield Street will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking will not be permitted during the construction. Prior to the start of pavement milling, Public Works will install temporary No Parking signs along the edge of Shield Street to warn residents about the temporary parking ban.

Should you have any questions regarding the repaving project, please contact me at 860-561-7539 or duanem@westhartfordct.gov.
