Specializing In Memorable Traditional & Custom Wedding Ceremonies

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers
Flowers are likely to be a festive part of your celebrations, both during
your ceremony and at your reception site. As with other aspects of the wedding
business, you and your fiance have a wide array of choices in terms of whether
to use flowers, for what parts of the celebration, and what flowers to use. The
three types of flowers you will likely want to consider are:
Ordering Flowers
Several months before the wedding, ask friends and family for florist
recommendations (link to our advertisers). Make appointments to visit several to
view photos of their past work. Once you have decided on a florist, provide
him/her with a description or picture of your gown, the bridesmaids' gowns (you
could also bring fabric swatches), your wedding style and any preferences for
your flowers. Don't be afraid to ask the florist for suggestions; you are buying
his/her expertise as well as the flowers themselves.
Florist Contract
As with other wedding services, be sure to get a written contract from the
florist detailing the services and flowers to be provided. Be sure the contract
specifies whether (and when) the florist: will deliver flowers; will do set-up
at the ceremony and reception site; will preserve your fresh flowers and if so,
at what additional costs. Also ask for a receipt for any deposit made and terms
for final payment.
